clourlovers is a rich source of palette and pattern solutions. why reinvent the wheel? why not have a go? also starter for ten article about brightness, attractive combinations of digital colour ... however, you could always ignore the computer, make paintings / drawings, and just keep them in here to be looked at. this artist Sam Marsh is good, in my opinion, there is energy, and s/he knows when to get out of a picture and leave it alone,
