student film exposeure opportunity

Cartoon brew are asking for student films for consideration on their cartoon brew tv station. check the link here"Here are the rules: Obviously, it must be a student film. Films cannot be posted online anywhere before their premiere on Cartoon Brew TV. Only works completed after March 1, 2009 will be considered. Submission deadline is April 30, 2010. To submit, please email a private link of your film to studentfest (at) cartoonbrew (dot) com (ex. a password-protected Vimeo page or on a personal webpage). This is NOT a contest; every film that we choose to present will be compensated with the same fee that we pay all filmmakers who participate in Brew TV. Selection committee is comprised of Jerry Beck and Amid Amidi. Selections will be announced on May 3." 30 april is soon - but there may be a readymade you want to supply. image by Hugh Macleod of gapingvoid, a doodler that has turned doodles into lucrative business, or not - it doesn't matter...

Logo for festival opportunity

Deadline 19 April. this one is up to you..."Happy to offer a single ticket to the successful designer and will
hopefully lead to a more involved relationship- tshirt design,
merchandise, posters etc. for which we can look at offering more."
Nozstock is a music and performing arts festival with 3 stages of
live bands + solo artists, 3 of dance music, a comedy/burlesque tent, a theatre tent, a cinema screening short films, homegrown bars and cafe, and a kids area. We are run by a committee of around 30+ volunteers each with their own specialism/department, and managed by the Nosworthy family, on whose farm the festival is based.

> LOGO SPECS >

* Alter + develop the vinyl george font http://www.dafont.com/vinyl-george.font
> to make more unique and reflect the electronic parts of the festival
* Add word 'Festival' (smaller than 'Nozstock')

SUGGESTIONS >

* Reflect style of current and previous website
* Add illustrative details - like festival marquee tents, flags/
streamers, cows, leaf/trees...whatever else you can think of that
would be appropriate that gives a sense of 'proper' festival. If it
gets too busy consider simplification through silhouette.
